About Me
My name is Danielle Livoti and I am an artist and art educator. I completed my BFA in Art Education from LIU Post in 2007, and became a certified K-12 art teacher in NY. I have been teaching high school art for 16 years. I live and work on Long Island, NY. After receiving my MA in Studio art from NYU In 2009, I continued my artistic practice working in a variety of media. My work reflects my interest in shared experiences like love, fears, heartache, loss and anxiety while also abstractly representing the places around me that inspire me. I often paint and collage over pre-existing artworks that let evolve into something new. Everything is always a work in progress, and I think it is important to dive into the process of creating and enjoy it. It's exciting to see how things unfold. Over the last 5 years I have been exhibiting work throughout Long Island. Most notably in 2020, two of my paintings were selected for the Long Island Biennial at the Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington, NY. I’ve had the pleasure of being part of their Emerging Artists series on Instagram. I have shown work with BJ Spoke Gallery, the Spotlight Bar at the Paramount, both in Huntington. Most recently, my work has been in group shows with BACCA and you can find some of my pieces on view at the Renarde boutique in Babylon Village. Thanks for stopping by! |
